5.17.2026—Dateline Farm
Partaking in some Heat Seeker flower from Tical. The cross is Dosidos x Zkittlez.
I'm sitting outside on the stoop of this old farmhouse in the middle of Missouri. It's just past sunset, the light is going. Contrails are still visible despite being far away. Ephemeral, catching the last of the light. It doesn't feel humid. It's because there's a breeze. It's 74% relative humidity, 77°. The breeze keeps the humidity from setting. Does a breeze ward off dewfall? Now the breeze is calming down. I'll have to go inside; the flies are bad. The windows are open to screens but I've had the front door propped open all day.
I arrived here at 9:30 this morning, stopping only for gas. I filled up my car as well as a five-gallon container using ethanol-free gasoline that ran $4.99/gallon. Subaru 2 has a bigger tank than my first. $97, yikes. Invest in what is important, choose wisely, respect what endures.
I mowed for four hours. Dry sneezy, snotty, dusty, dirty. Someone out there now shooting.
A coyote strikes up! Not far away. The coyote is just across the road, much closer than the gunshots. One hundred and fifty yards, but with many trees in between. A few stars now. The breeze returns. The little plastic windmills spin. I've got Marlins @ Padres on radio/cell, Padres lead 7-3. Frogs sound off from the direction of the creek. It's a pleasant evening except for a gnat trying to drill into my ear.
That Heat Seeker was some nice bud. Pretty grind. Very aromatic as I was grinding it up. Nice bag. I have two or three more Heat Seeker joints rolled up, the rest of the bag is gone...
