6.4.25, 10:29, Bag Opening
Weight of 3.46 grams, short. A common theme. Maybe I just need to be content if there’s at least 3.45 grams in the bag/jar. Maybe their scales only read to the tenth of a gram. Round up and be happy?
One nug was large, huge. Overall the nugs were large with a couple of smalls. There was a pleasant fruity, piney aroma from the bag and from the flower after grinding.
The grind looks right. I don’t see any of those pieces that look like millet, or like seed shells: small white rounded pieces or skins of those pieces; none of those in this rendition of the Cap Junky strain.
The grind is a darker green color and its texture is even. This bud is not stemmy. But it is a little dry. It came in a zip pouch, packaged 8.6.2024. I’ve had it a while; ‘twas a gift. It needs a moisture pack. I’ll drop in a 62% B-pack and see how it looks and smells after twenty-four hours.

Smoke session, 6.5.25, 18:34
Nothing wrong with this Cap Junky. The smoke is thick, with a chemmy exhaust flavor. There is a slight note of mint. It’s been a little while now since I sparked a .37-gram of it. There is carry and the effects are pleasant, representative.
The high is surprisingly solid. I wasn’t sure what to think of the Sinse brand. It’s the Swade house brand but you see Sinse in just about every dispensary in the St. Louis area. I’m so pleased with the Cap Junky that I am increasingly interested in other Sinse flower.
It’s been raining again. Lots of rain yesterday, three inches in the rain gauge. A lot of it fell in ninety minutes. Deluge.
The French drain I installed on the northwest side of the house is still running with yesterday’s water. There is water in that same spot of the basement ductwork again but the level is going down quicker than it would have earlier this spring.
I’m not exactly sure when I sparked this joint. 17:00?
It’s 19:50 and I still feel the effects. Serious carry.

Second session, 6.13.25, 16:41
The Cap Junky is good. I can’t find fault with it.
It’s good fuel. It’s not racy; it doesn’t put me on a downer. I’m peripatetic of mind, lifted. Not over-drinking. I’m listening to music. Groovy Tune, “Index Naturae” by Klint.
Sent a text to my sister. Been chatting with my wife. So I’m not hiding. This Cap Junky is above average for lift, without paranoia. More like euphoria. We’ll see what the carry is. It’s 17:13 so I’m just over thirty minutes in.
Gonna go take a photo of a prickly pear flower. It might not be there tomorrow. There are deer around, two fawns and their parents. They make a salad bar out of our flower beds.
I don’t feel as much carry today as compared to the prior session I wrote down. The high was good but it was shorter than before. After an hour I was ready to re-up. If I’ve smoked a joint, I’m looking for a longer interval than that. Which, granted, I got from Cap Junky the first time around. I note the discrepancy but I don’t think I can explain it; won’t try to.
Either way, the Cap Junky would at the least be a good dugout strain. Take a puff an hour.

Cap Junky Lineage / Genetics
It’s a relatively famous collaboration between two seed companies, Capulator and Seed Junky. Source: Seedfinder, click here.
On one side, you have Capulator’s Alien Cookies as a parent. I’m confused here, caution because at first glance the description makes it sound like this parentis not Miracle Alien Cookies (MAC), but “just” Alien Cookies (which is also a parent of MAC, bred by Capulator). But then in the degustation (lineage tree), this Alien Cookies looks like it is crossed with Colombian x Starfighter, which would seem to make it MAC. For the moment, I’ll assume that the description is correct but the flow chart is not.
Alien Cookies has the so-called Forum cut of GSC on one side then Alien Dawg on the other. Alien Dog is Chem Dawg (d) and Alien Technology. If there’s an unusual ancestor on this side, I’d say it’s the Alien Technology. You see it in lineages, but not often. Alien Technology is an indica from Afghanistan.
On the other side is Cap Junky’s Kush Mints. You can find Kush Mints as a standalone strain pretty easily. On the Illinois side, Cresco sells one under its FlorCal and High Supply labels. In Arizona, you can get it from Sonoran Roots. This is not an exhaustive list, just a couple examples that come quick to mind.
But Kush Mints is also a very popular cross-mate i.e. parent. The last write I did was of Georgia Pie, which is Gelatti x Kush Mints, from Tales & Travels. Cresco’s Gas Station Sushi is said to be a Kush Mints cross. You can find them pretty easily this day and age but like any other hot strain, it will eventually fade into the background when the next hot cross comes around.
The breeders call it a hybrid and I would concur. For me it’s in that happy territory I’d describe as “straight-up hybrid.”
