Garlic Fusion by High Noon Cult

I have queued up a chillum of Garlic Fusion. I picked up a gram of this flower in Clovis, New Mexico a couple days ago…

…17:03. It was a nice smoke. From the glass, that creaminess that I don’t get when smoking joints. But I didn’t taste any garlic. R Greenleaf, the dispensary in Clovis where I got the Garlic Fusion (along with grams of five other strains) is deli-style. The bud isn’t old but those jars get opened however many times a day and the air in New Mexico is almost always so dry. If you are expecting a huge rush of flavor from NM deli-style, you’re going to be disappointed.

What’s the answer? Sorry, I’m not sure, can’t deliver, can only complain and stare at my phone some more. The phone, lifeblood, life-sucker, such a strong drug these devices. First the internet then “the phone” then social media.

We are in a whirlwind of technological evolution! For better or for worse, I’ll not say. But things—time—will slow down, at some point. This is an unusual chapter in human history. What is being thrown at us right now is of an exponential magnitude. It’s too much for me.

Not that I’m checking out. Nothing is that easy. If I had to offer proof of an afterlife—what a wonderful phrase, an oxymoron. There is no afterlife, can’t be. It’s all just “life,” always has been. We see bodies leave but we don’t know what happens to their inhabitants after. How could we? This one place exists—just this one?—and that’s all, there’re no others? That doesn’t make sense.

How did I get there? Forget: who am I. Who cares?! I don’t need to be anyone. I’m more concerned about

AI is on the internet. You can find it there. If you exist not much crawlable, then AI might not much reflect you.

Get your votes in. The creation of AI is perhaps the most democratic opportunity of our time. Blog and let it crawl you. Make it think!

I am a writer but I am not much published. At times this has bothered me but I think about the dozens of good poems I have written that I cannot seem to get accepted for publication in lit reviews, journals, respected publications. These poems are languishing on my drive. I could keep submitting them but might die before I get them published.

Or I could just post them online and perhaps have instant influence on AI models that are crawling the internet from one corner of the internet-shaped universe to the other. What is the shape of the internet, anyway? It’s like outer space, always expanding! The Big Bang is the internet! The internet is the Big Bang! They are one and the same. Artificial intelligence is us. Nothing new!

A gram of the strain Garlic Fusion by High Noon Cult. Purchased at R Greenleaf in Clovis, NM, 12.15.2025.

The Garlic Fusion is pretty good. I seek out High Noon Cult flower when I pass through New Mexico. Their Butterscotch Bacio was one of the best eighths I found in 2024. R Greenleaf had a couple strains in stock. Garlic Fusion and Blueberry Motor Oil.

Drained a Shiner Bock. Is it 2025 or 2005? LOL. I used to live in Texas. For a few years, two decades ago. It doesn’t even seem real to me now, that time, that place. I didn’t realize Shiner Bock was only 4.4.% ABV. Weak!

I also bought the Shiner Bock in Clovis, NM. The clerk at the counter pulled a plastic bag out and was going to put the beer in the bag but I said I didn’t need a bag. She didn’t like that! She threw the bag into the air, and was like, Fuck it, then! She didn’t say that exactly but words to that effect. I thought, Welcome to New Mexico, Welcome to Nowhere! Really, I do like New Mexico, it’s an experience.

This is the final page of this notebook. Don’t get dramatic. Take a break. See if your wife is off that phone call. Have more wine. Say goodbye to yesterday and drink in that next thought, and the next one. Good, again.

This is the proof I started to go into earlier. It involves the act of suicide so if you don’t want to read about this topic don’t read any further. My thinking is this. I believe in that saying, “The grass is never greener on the other side of the fence.” You think you can change things, that you can get away from something unpleasant, or you can make things in life easier somehow. There is no escaping being alive. We have always been alive and we always will. I think existentially about suicide on a daily basis. But I think it is always a bad idea and I will never try to take my own life because wherever a person goes once they “succeed” in killing themselves has to be the proverbial other side of the fence. There is no easy way out. The fact that suicide actually exists is therefore my best proof of an afterlife. Because it is possible to kill yourself (this version of yourself), it must be impossible to end your life altogether because there is no easy way out of anything.

Anyway. Garlic Fusion. It’s a sativa. It’s good. It gets my mind going in a philosophical, grand, think about time and space and life sort of way and that’s as good a damn result as I could get from ANY DRUG of any kind in any place in any time.

It’s Terple X Garlic Sherbert. Source: Seedfinder (link).

Never heard of Terple or Garlic Sherbert!

Terple (#17) is Tropicana Cookies x Slurricane

Garlic Sherbert is GMO x Blue Sherbert

This strain has so far been a huge winner for me. If I smoke it again and the effects take me into the Highdeas Stratosphere like they did yesterday, it will definitely make my Top Ten Strains of the Year for 2025.
