I have smoked a couple of joints from the jar, with nothing to note so far. This isn’t necessarily the weed’s fault. I might have just been too busy or too tipsy to write anything down. Tonight I’m committing to writing some notes. If the Macnanna’s not great, then the rest of the jar goes goodbye.
An hour later…
It had some flavor. If I say tasty, I’m misleading. Sage, a little fruit. Burned well. I had rolled some joints of would-be discard flower, this Macnanna by PTS and a few others. Jars I opened, smoked on some, but wasn’t wowed by and set to the side. I always try to circle back and give them a second chance. Sometimes it’s like the old break-up bit, “It’s not you, it’s me.” When I open a new jar, expectations are high. When I’ve set something to the side, expectations are at their lowest, and sometimes the discards come back around to surprise me.
The Macnanna has had a solid effect so far. It’s not racy. Macnanna is a cross between MAC (Miracle Alien Cookies) and Strawberry Banana (Crocket’s Cut). Source: link here. MAC can be racy so I wasn’t sure if that would trace its way through and into the Macnanna. I’d say not.
There’s nothing wrong with the smoke or the onset of the effects with this Macnanna but it’s not the best looking bud. Something is off with the bud structure, like there’s not enough bud on the bud. Male parts? Or was this bud pre-seed, too close to going to seed, it had been fertilized, something like that.
PTS flower offerings don’t have impressive ratings on the dispensary weed menus. Middling. So I was a little leery until I had their Orange Soda, which was fantastic. My cousin called it tasty. Sativa-leaning, floaty high. That I recommend. Their Panama Mac #5 was a miss. I opened a jar of that not long ago, didn’t smoke much of it, chucked the rest. Lots of leaves in there, larf. Wrote nothing else about it, forgettable.
This Macnanna produced a strong initial head rush that was deftly blunted. Is that the Banana? I’m feeling the high but I’m also baseline conscious enough to be asking questions. It has carry. Backgrounding after a while. Not a bad smoke, a 50/50 hybrid. It has filled up the evening. I have not over-drank tonight so it’s been a decent go. An even carry, a float. Something you could smoke all day and get some effects from without people thinking you were high out of your mind. Not a miss like Panama Mac but I like the Orange Soda better.
