This is a free-form strain review of a strain of cannabis called Biskante, offered as an eighth from Alien Labs and sold from the Tucson Trulieve dispensary in June 2024 at the intersection of Grant and Treat.
The Biskante has that orange rubber taste, if a pencil eraser had an orange flavoring. That’s one of my favorite flavor notes when smoking cannabis. It seems to appear among certain sativas. I am thinking about Cresco’s Lemon Bean and Rythm’s L’Orange, for instance.
Biskante is delivering a functional high filled with rabbit holes, watch where you step. Be ready to compartmentalize. If you can do that, get ready to cash in and have an afternoon.

Later that day, day has become night…
The Biskante is a winner. Maybe I was just having a good day. I put a new coat of paint on the water tower, figuratively.
Had two Biskante one-eez. It’s a real nice get-out-of-your funk kind of a high. The citrus pencil eraser taste is followed by some spice. This is a mood enhancer. It left me background-wired but not too racy.

Lineage
It’s not a surprise that the Biskante tasted to me like Cresco’s Lemon Bean (which I know from buying it in Sauget, Illinois). Both strains hail from Lemon Tree and OG Eddy. Lemon Bean is simply Lemon Tree x OG Eddy whereas Biskante is Melonade x Biscotti. Melonade is derived from both Lemon Tree and OG Eddy, with something called Watermelon Zum Zum also part of the mix.
Biskante is a lot like Lemon Bean crossed with Biscotti. It’s like Lemon Bean on Burma. Initially, I wondered why indicas containing Gelato or Sunset Sherbet ancestry tended to be so racy, taking my mind to weird places, often beginning with a dive into paranoid thought. The bite. I think it’s the Burma in the Sunset Sherb/Gelato. For me, it pushes through all of the indica influence, at least at first.
The influence of the Burma is balanced out well in this Biskante. Maybe it’s the OG Kush on either side, or maybe the Lemon Skunk supersedes it.
I would get this flower again. As I write this, the calendar has turned to August, nearly September. I am typing this from notes I took over two months ago. I am headed back to Tucson next week but I do not see any eighths of Biskante on the menus I am most likely to buy from. But I do see Gelonade, which is Lemon Tree x Gelato 41. Pretty similar, but you lose the OG Eddy. Worth a try to see what the difference would be, if any.
